"THE LESSON"
This installation entitled: Preservation of the Species - was created in 1989 in Montreal, PQ - first exhibited there at Articule gallery, it was reconstructed in over 20 venues across Canada, the United States and Europe eventually evolving from a static work to also include performance by members of the community, (beginning the next year, at Harbourfront, Toronto) and following at the subsequent openings of the exhibition. It was included in the Two Decades retrospective national touring exhibition 1999 - 2000, interacting with the viewers who were invited to add names to the memory wall blackboard.
